Welcome to Five Minute Friday.  Our topic for today is…long.

My mouth will tell of your righteous deeds, of your saving acts all day long—

though I know not how to relate them all.  Psalm 71:15

How long can you talk about God?  When I read the above verse, it certainly sounds like the psalmist spoke a lot of stuff.  I mean, all day long?  Wow!

Could you spend your entire day talking about God and all He has done for you?  Believe it or not ladies, He has done more for us than we are even aware of happening.  The easy stuff like life, family, salvation, home, job, pets, relaxation, friends–all that comes flowing out of our mouths in praise.  But what about the things we don’t realize?  How could we possibly talk about those things?

I think we should spend a day in gratitude.  Now I know we are all very busy and the idea of spending a whole day giving thanks may seem a bit out of reach.  But hear me out.  If we each picked a day, and during that day became so tuned in to God and what He was telling us, we could make a list of all the things He has done.  We would be able to tell of His righteous deeds, of His saving acts, all day long.  From morning until night.  And what if we, girls, told those deeds and acts to whomever we met the next day?  And the next day, and the next day…  Then we would be spreading the Good News of Jesus to a hungry world.  I think that would be a wonderful use of my “all day long.”
